An introduction to Freemotion Thread Stitch on Thursday 24th April
Learn the art of thread sketching with freemotion embroidery in this class aimed at beginners. Enjoy the freedom of drawing with your machine to create your own artwork. Freemotion embroidery is a hugely versatile technique and can be developed in a loose and expressive way, rich in texture and colour with a technique known as thread sketching. During this class you will be shown how to experiment with thread through a variety of simple practice exercises, including how to transfer images into textured stitch as well as using different colours to produce a beautifully textured artwork
through various stages from an initial photograph to finished piece.
