An introduction to freemotion embroidery on Wednesday 23rd April
Learn the art of freemotion embroidery in this class aimed at beginners. Enjoy the freedom of drawing with your machine to create your own artwork. This in-depth beginner’s class covers everything you need to know to learn this technique, from setting up your machine and what equipment you will need, to top tips and handy advice to get the most out of this wonderfully creative technique. This workshop is taught by Caroline Michelle who is a textile artist working in Cornwall, specialising in freemotion embroidery. Throughout the day you will be taught the skills and techniques required, by producing several small samples, growing in confidence as you become more skilled at the technique. Ending the day by producing a lovely piece of freemotion artwork using the raw edge applique technique.
