Wild Hedgerows with Kate Findlay on Wednesday 21st May
Full one day workshop making a mini piece in fabric inspired by hedgerow plants and birds . The finished piece will be approx: 20cm to 30cm square. ( You can opt to book both days. If you do, you will be able to produce a larger more detailed piece of work.)
Kate will guide you through the process of making a scene similar in style to this example. There is plenty of scope for individual outcomes and creativity. She will show you how to stencil and stamp with fabric paints, then cut out prebonded leaves and branches to collage on top, perhaps adding a printed bird too, as well as demonstrating free motion embroidery to finish the piece.
Kate will bring much of what is needed and there will be a charge on the day including backing felt and fusible web.
Sewing Machine needed.
