Playing with New York Beauty on Saturday 14th September - Getting started with Foundation Piecing with Ann Hibberd.
This is a block done well with foundation piecing because you can get wonderful accuracy with your sewing. A series of triangles sewn into an arc, and then pieced into a quarter circle. In this workshop Ann will teach you the method for foundation piecing with a simple New York Beauty block and help you get started on more challenging designs. Four blocks make a cushion cover, lots of blocks make a stunning quilt! A good stash buster!
Traditionally done by machine, foundation piecing can also be done by hand.
