Colour Trapunto with Andrea Ashwell on Saturday 16th June.
Many who came to our recent exhibition were intrigued by Andrea's "Pink Icing" quilt.
This workshop will cover what fabrics and colours work best for this technique with examples given. Andrea will also talk about which threads to use, show how to transfer the design and the clever process of layering to achieve the coloured effect of the quilted feather design in the centre.
This is a machine workshop and free motion skill is required. Your piece could go on to be a cushion cover.
Andrea will have more examples of this work to show when it can be highly effective.
*Suitable for Beginners Plus - those of you with some experience
