A workshop with K3N on Saturday 2nd May.
A Japanese Rice Bag or ‘komebukuro’ was traditionally made to carry offerings of rice to temple in Japanese culture. Their simple construction and box shape makes an ideal project bag or they can be filled with goodies to make a lovely present for someone special. We will be hand stitching our bags using a simple ‘paperless piecing’ technique and embellishing with hand stitching. You will also learn how to make cloth twine to form the ties for your bag. This is a lovely project to use up scraps of cloth and you can even make it with ‘orphan blocks’ if you prefer.
Suitable for absolute beginners and more experienced stitchers.
This workshop is not suitable for anyone under 18.
