Group visits and Retreats

I went to Midsomer Quilting on a weekend retreat and it was FABULOUS. (It was) like being in a toyshop at Christmas and everyone was so friendly. I can thoroughly recommend it as a place to visit. We all stayed in a wonderful “B&B” about ten minutes drive away and it was the icing on the cake of a wonderful weekend. If anyone gets the chance to do one of MQ’s workshops then go for it - take the bull by the horns and go!                                                                                                Jenny

I have run retreats to Midsomer Quilting for years. De, Chris, Birgitta and the team there are marvellous.  Their shop is fully stocked with all your patchwork and quilting requirements and notions and gifts and a wide range of books. It has wonderful large classroom that can comfortably accommodate up to twelve quilters. I can't recommend it enough as it is so worth the journey.

(No parking hassles either!)                                                                                  Julie McConnell

We are always pleased to welcome groups (by prior arrangement!), either for weekday visits or weekend retreats, and are flattered (astonished actually) by the distances that some travel to reach us. We'll have coffee and chocolate biscuits ready for you when you arrive - and throughout your stay.

We are also happy for midweek groups to use our workshop during their visit and would be pleased to lay on short classes or demonstrations if needed. Coffee, a wide variety of teas, soft drinks and biscuits are always available at the shop, but do let us know in advance of your plans -with the picture below in mind we need some idea of the numbers involved.

On our Coming a Distance? page you'll find a number of suggestions about things you could also do on your day out - and, if planning a longer stay, where you might care stay.
